Charlene M. Andrews, 93, entered into the arms of her savior on Friday, July 19, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Moss Bluff, LA. Charlene was born on April 1, 1931 in Oberlin, LA to Adam and Stella Fontenot Landry.

Visitation will begin Tuesday July 23, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of the service which begins at 1:00 PM, at Sugartown United Pentecostal Church in Sugartown, LA with Rev. Tim Deason, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Sugartown Cemetery in Sugartown, LA. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.

Charlene married the love of her life, Kenneth Andrews, in 1948, and enjoyed 60 years of marriage until his passing in 2008. She was a resident of Sugartown since 1952. She was a devoted member of Sugartown Pentecostal Church where she served in the choir and lead singing. She loved her church family and her pastors’ family. In her spare time, she loved to paint, sew, crochet, knit, and quilt. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and loved ones, cooking, and laughing. She will be greatly and dearly missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dale Andrews and wife Gail of Moss Bluff, and Kermit Andrews and wife Sherry of DeRidder; daughters, Donna Hollingsworth and husband Robert of Austin, TX, and Lorene Jimney of Moss Bluff; daughter-n-law, Sandra Andrews of Lake Charles; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her loved ones, parents, Adam and Stella Landry; her beloved husband, Kenneth Andrews; son, Neal Andrews; son-n-law, Bob Jimney; sister Loetta Landry.
