A gathering of friends and family for Florence Elizabeth Jones will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.

Ms. Jones was born on April 29, 1943 in Lake Charles, LA to George & Katherine Sevario.  She passed away on January 20, 2017 in Christus St. Patrick Hospital after a short illness.

Florence was a long time resident of Beauregard Parish. She attended school at Istrouma High School and college at LSU in Baton Rouge.  She work for many years in DeRidder as a legal secretary for McReynolds and Jantz Law firm. She also worked for a time at the Beauregard Parish Health Unit. Her last job was as the Manager of Calhoun Properties in DeRidder.

Ms. Jones is survived by her two sons: Chris Jones (Kelle Pruitt) of DeRidder, LA., and Jeff Jones (Kayla) of Mandaville, LA.; Three Grandchildren: Bittany Banta and her husband Kevin, Hayes Jones, and Hallie Jones; Four Great Grandchildren: Demi, Charlotte, Brielle, & Bayon
